About 500 meters (1,600 feet) away from the hit, smoke could be seen. Rushing to the scene, an ambulance crew reported finding no dead or injured individuals. After the strike, witnesses recorded footage of a collapsed building surrounded by debris. As the conflict with Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, continues to get worse, there have been numerous thuds and explosions from Israeli air strikes here today. The buzz of drones overhead can also be heard.
Israeli evacuation orders cover a significant portion of southern Lebanon. A man screamed earlier as he arrived at the hospital carrying the body of his 19-year-old son, who died this week during a strike but was trapped under the debris. He yelled, "What's happening here is like what happened in Gaza." The Lebanese Health Ministry says 394 people have been killed in the Israeli military action since Monday.
