Additionally, images indicate that the neighborhood of Narmak, where former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad resides, has been affected. The vicinity of the ministry of intelligence was struck by yet another strike. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), its strikes in Tehran targeted gathering places for high-ranking security and political figures.

Strikes have also been reported elsewhere in the country. Iranian state media report that at least 85 people were killed at a girls' school in Minab, which is in the south of the country. A spokesperson for the nation's ministry of education was quoted by the Islamic Republic News Agency (Irna) as saying that the school had been "targeted by three missile attacks." The BBC has been unable to independently verify this due to the fact that international news organizations frequently fail to obtain visas to visit Iran, which severely restricts their ability to gather information about the country's internal affairs. Kermanshah, Qom, Isfahan, Tabriz, and Karaj, as well as Iranian naval facilities in Kenarak in the south of the country, have been the targets of attacks. An IRGC base was bombed, according to a video sent to the BBC from the small city of Kamyaran. Prior to the strikes, the IDF has urged Iranian civilians to leave areas that are near military installations and sites.

Where has Iran attacked?

Israel and US bases in the region have been the targets of Iranian retaliatory strikes. Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates have all reported hearing explosions. After Iranian missiles were intercepted, one person was killed, according to the UAE's state news agency. The service center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet has been "subjected to a missile attack," according to Bahrain's National Communication Centre. It is responsible for operations across the Gulf, Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and parts of the Indian Ocean.
Another verified video from a moving vehicle in Bahrain depicts the moment a missile strikes. An explosion follows, sending fragments and debris into the air.
Other footage that has been verified to be from Bahrain shows dark smoke rising as sirens sound throughout the city.

On X, a spokesperson for the ministry of defense of Kuwait stated that a number of ballistic missiles had been fired at the Ali Al-Salem airbase, but that the Kuwaiti air defense forces had successfully stopped them. Jordan, which borders Israel, claimed that two ballistic missiles that were meant for its territory were shot down by its military. The AFP news agency was informed by an official that there were no casualties and only damage to property.

Iran has been the target of attacks by Israel and the United States, which have hit targets all over the country. Among the targets are military installations all over Iran, including the supreme leader's office in Tehran, the capital. Iran has responded by attacking US and Israeli bases across the region. Numerous verified videos taken in Tehran show enormous smoke plumes rising above the capital. A portion of Leadership House, the office of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has sustained significant damage, according to satellite imagery obtained by BBC Verify that was captured over the city on Saturday morning. His death was later confirmed by Iranian state media, which said he was killed at his office.

Airbus took the high-resolution picture, which shows the site's blackened buildings, debris, and a column of smoke rising from it. The location matches verified footage taken in Tehran following explosions in the vicinity.
